Hi, I'm Kerry.
I teach guitarists of all levels, all over the world, how to master the guitar and play with freedom.
In addition to being an instructor, I'm a recording artist, session player, social influencer, producer, artist developer and voting member of the Recording Academy. My unique, innovative and signature sound is one that is sought after by many all over the country. I began learning guitar at an early age and immediately began a quest to make a difference in the world of music.
After relocating to Birmingham, Alabama at the age of 11, I rapidly became known as a phenomenon in the region. In 2012, my band Nurdy Tunes, won first place in the Strange Arrange competition where we were awarded $10,000 and an opportunity to remake a live version of one of Musiq Soulchild’s records with him in studio. I've been fine-tuning my craft for over 20 years. My musical style is influenced by guitarists such as Erick Walls, Tim Stewart, Kevin Wilson, John Mayer and Eddie "Spanky" Alford, yet infused with my own individual touch.
I have performed as Lead Guitarist with legendary and rising star power artists like superstar Jason Derulo, film actor and R&B singer Tyrese Gibson, Raheem DeVaughn, Jill Scott, Michelle Williams of Destiny’s Child, Chrisette Michele, Fantasia Barrino, Leela James, Kiana Ledé, Ty Dolla$ign, Chante Moore, Music Soulchild, Anthony Hamilton, SiR, Kevin Ross, Jacob Latimore, Sean Kingston, D Smoke, Tori Kelly, Teedra Moses, The Roots, Ledisi, and many others

I have a passion for teaching, and give weekly lessons on my YouTube channel, which has over 8,000,000 views. I founded Kerry's Kamp, an online guitar community that helps beginner to advanced guitarists reach their full potential.
